Dublin City BID Area Set to Blossom
Several Streets in the City Centre will be awash with colour thanks to another new initiative by the Dublin City Business Improvement District who is providing an array of colourful flower displays throughout the Dublin City BID area this summer – the BID area, which covers just over a square mile, runs from Parnell Street to St Stephens Green.
From next week 20 floral planters will be added to streets the length and breadth of the Dublin City BID area and adds a welcome splash of summer colour to our City. Key streets in the South of the City will include Clarendon Street, King Street South, South William Street, Stephens Street and Dawson Street and in the North of the City planters will feature on Cathal Brugha Street, Parnell Street West, Middle Abbey Street and Lower Abbey Street amongst others.
Commenting on the upcoming arrival of the new floral displays Richard Guiney CEO of Dublin City BID, said “We are delighted to introduce a few hints of colour to the streets of the city. The new planters will be visually impactful and are to be enjoyed by both Dubliners and tourists alike. They will enhance the overall appearance and appeal of the city centre creating a welcome and bright environment for shopping and recreation.”
The floral planters will be in situ in the BID Area until October and will be provided by Blooming Baskets Ltd. Located in Ballyboughal, Co.Dublin Blooming Baskets is the only company specialising exclusively in outdoor floral displays.
