Marketing The City
Calendar of Events | City Marketing and Promotion | Social Media | iGuide Dublin Business Directory | In the News
We firmly believe in the power of the collective voice and working in partnership is at the core of everything we do.
As such, we work with our members to develop marketing and promotion campaigns for Dublin City Centre.
Aimed at generating business for the area, we have developed a variety of successful initiatives, programmes and events which we run in association with our members and various city partnerships.
All events and programmes are supported with strong social media presence, advertising and active public relations campaigns.
Calendar of Events
We run a number of events throughout the year centring on key calendar dates and industry sectors. In addition, we work with other business groups and media partners by supporting a range of activities taking place throughout the city at other times of the year.
Our consumer website, DublinTown.ie has a comprehensive list of upcoming events such as:
Error: Feed has a error or is not valid
If you would like to have your event included in our ‘What’s on’ section of DublinTown.ie please email tellus@DublinTown.ie.
City Marketing and Promotion
As part of our collective city marketing, we host a Marketing Group which meets on a monthly basis and represents retailers, hoteliers, restaurants, bars, transport operators and business services from across the city. Through this representation we combine the marketing knowledge of all business sectors within the BID area. This informs our annual marketing programme and ensures a city wide focus for all events.
If you would like to be involved the Marketing Group or if you have an idea for any specific events, please contact us at info@dublincitybid.ie
Social Media
The growth and development of social media channels is fundamental to the promotion and communication of the city’s activity. Events, programmes and initiatives are pushed through Dublin City BID’s social media network to our audience of more than 5,500 Facebook fans (and growing) and via or following of more than 1,000 on Twitter. We also work with our members to leverage the strength of their social networks.
If you have a message you would like us to tweet or promote through our social media channels, please let us know info@dublincitybid.ie
We were finalists in the ‘ Innovative Use of Social Media’ category at this year’s Social Media Awards for our Dine in Dublin campaign.
