The Dublin City Business Improvement District began its operations just over a year ago in March 2008. It was established by almost 2,000 businesses in the Parnell Street to Stephen’s Green area of Dublin City Centre to create a vibrant welcoming environment by providing additional services that make the area Cleaner, Greener & Safer for all who use it.

Due to the incredible turnout for the ‘Dine In Dublin-Restaurant Week’ events in 2009 the Dublin City Business Improvement District in association with the Restaurants Association of Ireland and The Irish Hotels Federation is pleased to announce that the next ‘Dine In Dublin-Restaurant Week’ will run from Monday March 22nd to Sunday March 28th 2010 – so mark the date in your diary and prepare for a week of culinary delights at pocket pleasing prices.

‘Dine in Dublin-Restaurant Week’ will see many of the city’s top restaurants offering special promotional rates of €25 or €30* per person for traditional three course dinner menus plus tea or coffee. From 7pm each evening, customers will be presented with a three course dinner menu at a set price of at least 20% below the normal A La Carte price. There are over 50 restaurants participating in the initiative, the full list will shortly be available at www.dineindublin.ie

Plus back by popular demand many of the city centres hotels are offering customers a 10% discount off the lowest quoted accommodation rates. So if you fancy a city break ‘Dine in Dublin-Restaurant Week’ is the perfect time to see what Dublin has to offer.

The Christmas Windows Competition saw over 70 businesses within the Dublin City BID area competing for first place in five different Christmas Window Display categories which included best Department Store, Small Retail outlet, Medium Retail outlet and Santa Grotto. The competition ran in the month of December in conjunction with Ireland.com with the top six winners being voted by members of the public. Voters were in with the chance to win one of several Dublin City Gift Cards.

There are no additional charges or equipment required to accept the Dublin City Gift Card, and all payments will be processed in the same manner as a standard MasterCard® Transaction. The Dublin City Gift Card should be accepted by any business accepting MasterCard® as a payment method.
