Dublin City BID

The Dublin City Business Improvement District began its operations in March 2008. It was established by over 2,000 businesses in the Parnell Street to Stephen’s Green area of Dublin City Centre to create a vibrant welcoming environment by providing additional services that make the area Cleaner, Greener & Safer for all who use it.

We want to encourage people to come into their Capital City and enjoy all that it has to offer including Ireland’s premier flagship stores, a myriad of cultural activities, theatres, cinemas, galleries and museums, world famous hostelries and top international restaurants.

The BID services create a more welcoming environment attracting customers and visitors thus advancing our position as a leading European City. The BID area stretches from Parnell Street on the north side of the city to St. Stephen’s Green on the south. On the north side it stretches from Capel Street to Amiens Street and on the south side from Dawson Street to South Great George’s Street. It is 2km long and 1.5km at its widest point. It has an area of almost 2.5 square kilometres and is the home of 2,633 businesses which operate from almost 4,000 buildings.
